Our Jet Boat Drivers

Skilled and experienced jet boat pilots

Your safety and trip enjoyment are very important to us. One critical issue is the quality of personnel we employ as drivers. We have introduced psychometric testing as part of our recruitment process. Driver attitude and behaviour is a critical part of our safety program and we consider this a prudent step to take to ensure that our passengers are always in safe hands.

In terms of driver training, Maritime Safety Authority Rule Part 80 requires that jet boat drivers have a minimum of 50 hours training on the water. Ngai Tahu Tourism has a requirement that drivers undertake 100 hours training before they are allowed to operate a commercial trip. This is the highest standard in the world.

The Hukafalls Jet drivers are full of personality and are here to make your trip with us a highlight of your holiday.
