COVID-19 UPDATE

To our customers and community,

From Friday 3 December, the Taupo region will be in Traffic Light Level Red. Hukafalls Jet will be open.  From this date, our site will require vaccination certificates to operate.  Please find further information below on how Hukafalls Jet operates under this level.

COVID-19 Protection Framework: Operating Procedures in Level Red

As part of keeping you and our community safe, Hukafalls Jet requires all guests 12+ years, spectators and staff to be fully vaccinated and for all guests 12+ years to present a valid pass on your My Vaccine Pass app (or printed version).

If you are not fully vaccinated, you will unfortunately not be allowed to enter our site.  This includes any spectators.

On arrival: 

  • Have your My Vaccine Pass open and ready for scanning by our staff
  • Please have your face covering on
  • Scan our location into your Covid Tracing app - this is mandatory

What we're doing to keep you safe:

  • Mandatory mask use for all kaimahi (staff) and manuhiri (visitors). Free masks will be available onsite.
  • No more than 100 people are allowed on site.
  • All manuhiri (visitors) to keep 2 metres apart at all times, both indoors and outdoors where possible, unless you are within the same bubble.
  • All kaimahi (staff) to keep at least 1 metre apart where possible.
  • Onboard the boats, masks are mandatory for our drivers and all passengers 12 years of age or over.  Our boats and life jackets are cleaned after every trip.  
  • Hukafalls Jet is a cashless site during Level Red

If you have any existing bookings affected by COVID-19 that you wish to move or refund please email reservations@hukafallsjet.com for assistance.

COVID-19 FAQs

Do I have to wear a mask on the jet boat?

Yes, mask use is mandatory indoors and outdoors at Hukafalls Jet for anyone over the age of 12, masks will be available on site. Any visitor who refuses to wear a mask will not be permitted.

I’m based in a locked down region and can no longer make my trip, can I get a refund?

Yes, any bookings affected by COVID-19 can be refunded or moved to another date. For all other booking our standard terms and conditions apply.

What cleaning procedures are in place to ensure a safe environment?

Lifejackets are disinfected between each use, boat hand rails wiped between each use, jetty touch points are wiped down during setup and all our customer facing areas cleaned regularly during the day. 

I'm not vaccinated - can I still visit Hukafalls Jet?

Short answer: No.

If you have purchased a ticket but are unable to fulfil our entry requirements, please email reservations@hukafallsjet.com.  We will be able to provide a full refund for you.
