Hukafalls Jet Sustainability Policy
Hukafalls Jet has become New Zealand’s only Jet Boating company to achieve the prestigious Green Globe Bronze Benchmarked level of environmental accreditation. Hukafalls Jet provides a quality Jet Boating experience and has committed to being the leading sustainable Jet Boating Business.
Our current policies include:
- Firm commitment to staff being aware of and involved in the environmental philosophy of the operation
- Continuing research and improvement of operational performance wherever possible
- Supporting and encouraging the ongoing role of Hukafalls Jet’s Green Globe committee, ensuring they discuss and research all new options and ideas, in regards to their sustainability principles, before implementation
- Implementation of only approved and evaluated ideas
- Outcomes discussed and documented
- To maintain a safe working environment
- To maintain best practice by employing local domiciled persons with own accommodation
- To make significant improvements in our water consumption per customer
- To continue to research the most environmentally friendly cleaning products on the market and ensure only these are used within Hukafalls Jet’s operations.
- In regards to Hukafalls Jet’s Green Globe assessment, Hukafalls Jet will maintain the level of ‘best practice’ in terms of the quantity of waste sent to the landfill and will continue to show a commitment to recycling wherever possible
- Where appropriate Hukafalls Jet will purchase from local suppliers with the same positive view on sustainability, requesting evidence of their own sustainability policy

- Hukafalls Jet will annually submit the required data to be assessed via the Green Globe accreditation programme with the intention of maintaining Hukafalls Jet current high level of performance and achieving improvements wherever operationally possible
- Every two years Hukafalls Jet will be Qualmark graded and certified with the intention of maintaining or improving current performance levels
- Hukafalls Jet will regularly monitor all policies and procedures through a full set of analytical spreadsheets
- Hukafalls Jet will ensure our Jet Boat fleet is running at its most efficient at all times
- Hukafalls Jet has an ongoing commitment to ensure the regular servicing of Jet Boat fleet to ensure carbon emissions are at the lowest practicable level
