THRILLS AHEAD AS HUKAFALLS JET IS NAMED FINALIST IN NZ TOURISM INDUSTRY AWARDS
Exciting times are ahead for Taupo tourism operator Hukafalls Jet, and not just for their passengers, as they were today named Finalist in the New Zealand Tourism Industry Awards in the Adventure Activity Category.
This achievement tops off a highly successful year for the business, having also been presented two awards at the 2007 Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards late last year.
The Tourism Industry Awards recognise and celebrate business excellence in the New Zealand tourism industry and are a key means of building the industry's capability and capacity and businesses are judged on seven key criteria that a business must actively manage to achieve all-round excellence.
"Being named as a finalist is such a thrill for our hard working and dedicated team, and it's great to receive recognition on a nationwide basis for the experience we provide," said Marking Manager, Michelle Caldwell. "There is a huge amount of work that goes into the awards, but it provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our successes and achievements throughout the year and enables us to identify opportunities for future development."
Hukafalls Jet will now be visited by a panel of judges and winners will be announced at a Gala Function to be held in Christchurch on 5th August.
