Hukafalls Jet a popular drawcard at Fieldays 2007

Showcasing the latest in agricultural products and services, Fieldays® Under the Engine Hatch of a Hukafalls Jet boatattracts 1000 exhibitors and over 115,000 visitors through its gates, resulting in sales during and following the event in excess of $300million in 2006. It is New Zealand's premier agribusiness event bringing buyer and seller together to create an agricultural hypermarket. New releases, information, machinery demonstrations, technology, and innovation - it's all at Fieldays®.

This year, local Taupo tourism operator, Hukafalls Jet is showcasing one of their brand new twin engine V6 supercharged jet boats and interest on the first day was overwhelming, says Marketing Manager Michelle Caldwell.   “With the weather playing its part on day one, we were able to open the engine hatch to give everyone a peak at what drives our boats, much to the delight of the many visitors to our stand.”

As well as showing off the new jet boats, Hukafalls Jet is also giving one lucky family the opportunity to win a long weekend in Taupo, courtesy of many local tourism operators who have kindly donated family passes and meal vouchers.  The competition will be drawn next Monday and the lucky winner notified by telephone.

“Taupo proved to be a very popular holiday destination to many of the people we spoke to throughout the day and of course most people wanted to enter the competition to win the long weekend in our town,” said Michelle Caldwell.  “In fact, a lot of visitors to our stand were already planning a holiday to Taupo and were keen to come and have a ride on the brand new Hukafalls Jet boats.  Although international visitors make up a majority of our business year round, it’s important that we don’t forget our domestic market, and Fieldays provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase what we have to offer.”

Hukafalls Jet is located on the Eastern side of Fieldays at Stand E116, right next door to Kea Campers and Maui Direct and opposite the Bledisloe Hall.
