Iconic Jet boat operator appoints Marketing Manager
Adventure tourism leader Huka Jet announce the appointment of Michelle Johnson as its new Marketing Manager, with effect from 16 October 2006.
Huka Jet, part of the Ngai Tahu Tourism Group has operated in Taupo in the heart of New Zealand’s North Island for 16 years. Michelle’s responsibilities will include ownership for all of the company’s marketing strategy, business development, brand management, and new product initiatives.
Michelle joins Huka Jet with over nine years experience in the tourism industry, having worked in New Zealand, Australia and United Kingdom. Most recently she held the position of Manager, Discover New Zealand packaging unit at Tourism Holdings Limited, based in Auckland.
"It's a very exciting time for Huka Jet and this is a reinforcement of our commitment to not only maintaining but consolidating our position as the number one jet boat company in the North Island," says Huka Jet Manager, Clark Scott. "We are absolutely delighted to have Michelle onboard to "drive" the next phase of growth and product development."
In welcoming the opportunity to join Huka Jet’s Taupo-based team, Michelle said she was really looking forward to working with such a progressive company and was excited by a number of major investment projects and product development initiatives that lay ahead, some of which will be announced shortly.
